That Not So Awkward Thing Called Being a Person With a Master's In Women's Studies Who Has a Book Called Pussy: A Reclamation; And the Irony of Knowing I Am Challenged About This By People Who Attend Church Religiously and Never Read the Bible Until It Is Too Late! #ReclaimBeforeItsTooLate #NowOrNever #PleasureForever #MyProtestSigns

Experiencing the annoyance of an individual who think someone is supposed to back down when another is being adversarial is disruptive to society. I wanted to share my thoughts on a book I was reading titled “Pussy: A Reclamation” by Regena Thomashauer. In the book the author mentions that even opening the book is a “reader’s leap of faith”. I fell in love with Chapter Four titled Cliteracy! I mean it is obvious if there is a need for discussion around women’s bodies and pleasure and the need for education around this, there is a conflict that exist somewhere. I will insert here how I am realizing that women and girls having access to school and employment are really making it hard for some men in their “secretly gay” spot. They are triggered by having the around during the experience. I really loved the quote, “what feeds the holy in a woman? Pleasure in all forms”.

To me there is also a major message about reteaching a woman about her loveliness. I am captivated by the essence and overall message of this book. Even understanding that there are men and women alike who would attack me for understanding intimacy and sexual pleasure with or without education and words. I enjoyed the fact that the author discussed “My Sensual Journey”. I am thinking of writing tonight or at some point today in my journal to describe my very own sensual journey.

There was something funny mentioned about how “cliteracy” is important to the owner of a “pussy” and that is who it should essentially start with.  I laughed harder than anyone would think deep down inside. I will add here that sensuality has two definitions. One regarding enjoyment, expression and pursuit of physical, especially sexual, pleasure and the condition of being pleasuring or fulfilling to the senses. Yes, I did look up this definition online. I know what the words definition is on my own without saying.

Something about reading this book made me realize that I have experienced a massive attack of people who want to get to be on television and see their face on television. I will blindly insert here that I think most people on television do not go home and sit and watch it, which is why the attack is subliminal, blatant but hard to see and understand most of the time. There was something powerful about a statement made in regards to a relationship not being healthy when a woman is not turned on, radiant or happy. Who does this matter to? Women and men who care. Women and men who care about each other and women and men who want things enjoyable and pleasurable in general. I was also intrigued by the invite to participate in Sister Goddess Activism, as in simply put celebrate a woman in your life today. I enjoyed a quote by Jada Pinkett Smith that was included which stated,“How is a man to recognize his full power, through the eyes of an incomplete woman?... When woman is lost, so is man. The truth is, woman is the window to a man’s heart and a man’s heart is the gateway to his soul.” I felt this statement powerfully. At some point I am encouraging women who are radical about self-love, appreciation, pleasure and even reclaiming where they have been cut off or dismissed to take some time to make a reclamation. If you have a journal you should write about “My Sensual Journey” and create your own Pussy Reclamation!
