A Poem Titled Tear Drops

Tear Drops

All the tears

The regrets

Come because their legs still move

They can see from television

They gave up their food

They gave up their clothes

All the societal advancements people need

For basic participation and a chance to succeed

All the tears

The regrets

Come because their legs still move

They wonder why they have no money for fancy attire

Or a car to drive

They cannot get a credit card because they are barely alive

All the tears

Are because of what they can see

As they take a look deeper into the life I've earned in reality

They go yup, yup, yup

Because they have eaten to much meat

They need to drink a glass of water

And have an actual seat

They fight and they toil

Because my life they would never known

They came running to what they saw televised

When they should have revolted and went home
