A Poem Titled Stereotypes

Stereotypes

Stereotypes

Make people miss out on life

I am the Dewey Decimal System

Let me see if you understand

A woman who can understand the divisions

And find the contents locations without asking

Would embarrass any man

Who still can’t organize the thoughts in his mind?

That his employment history is less than cutting grass

That he went all the way through an interview line

To express that someone wouldn’t give him piece of ass”

And he doesn’t understand why he ever had to go to class

I’m Huey with the Dewey

They confuse the sound for the Ooey Gooey

And wonder how I can recognize when something is Looney

My Decimal System is Dewey
