I was listening to some music and started thinking about lyrical analysis (yes this type of thing is important). I was engaging with the music and noticed that these are songs that can be used to address self-esteem withing men and boys. The writers of the songs most likely are expressing something they are feeling or experiencing-- they actually might want to the type of exploration and feedback that doesn't focus on whether or not they should take out that line or add one about that time you fell down the stairwell also. I am going to post several songs and a question I would want to ask based on the lyrics.
Question: Why do you wish these things?
Question: Do you think you might be looking to develop a relationship with someone who is in the wrong area for you?
Question: Why do the problems you are facing make you want to drown in codeine?
Question: What makes you think you would need to change something rather than meet someone who shows interest in you as a person as you are, even if you grow at some point?
Question: What makes you unable to believe that she is all on you?
Question: What have you identified as home?
