What Did Your Outfit Say Today?

Style and clothes reflect YOU. They can impact your overall mood, health and confidence. Clothing has a symbolic meaning and a physical experience. Some styles of clothing we learn to associate with particular careers or events, but clearing all those associations out of our mind—what we like and how we are feeling will determine what’s in our closet and what we put on each day.

Even the under clothes you wear can have a major impact on how you feel and behave throughout your day.

What you have on significantly influences, inspires and motivates others both consciously and subconsciously. There are people who hire image, style, and branding consultants….. so why not be your own? Especially if you aren’t running a Fortune 500.

Play around and see what shapes and colors work for you. What does a particular clothing item, style or color do for you? How does it feel on your body, how does it change the way you behave? For me, shades of pink make me feel fun and flirty. I had a mentor once tell me that A line dresses looked amazing on me. I like the level of comfort and movement I feel in them, however I also like to show off in a pencil skirt from time to time.

Accessories are awesome and make a statement. When it comes to my look, I like to focus on what my outfit states with or without the accessories.

Clothes and accessories are fun. Enjoy them.
